Public goods concept vs. agriculture

Summary/Abstract: The aim of the paper is to evaluate the application of public goods concept to agriculture and consideration of agricultural production as production of public goods. The list of the particular explicate or implicate public goods connected with agriculture is long. Its length depends on the level of development and the richness of the country or region where the goods are produced. In literature public goods connected to agriculture are generally treated as externalities of agricultural typical production but this view is too narrow because nowadays they can be just an intentional product. Many stakeholders are involved in the issues of public goods, like society, state, and agricultural producers who pay the costs of their production.
