Summary/Abstract: Starting from its first issue, Erdélyi Iskola (Transylvanian School), published between 1933–1940 and 1940–1942, promoted the education in Christian spirit. On the one hand, the educational principles promoted by the journal were in tune with the “modern” pedagogical principles and methodologies that became increasingly spread throughout Europe. On the other hand, the journal contributed to the popularization of these principles. The thirtyeight issues deal with the principles of Christian education, with schools and educators. Plays and poems on religious themes were published, as well as many not explicitly religious writings that conveyed nevertheless through their ideas and message the universal Christian values.
