Summary/Abstract: Three theoretical models of statistical regionalization of Bosnia and Herzegovina were defined and analyzed for the purpose of this research. The first model is entirely based on the administrative division of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The second model is based on regionalization research in Bosnia and Herzegovina, conducted between 1969-2006. Based on experiences of certain countries (for example: Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia), a third model is included in the analysis. As part of it, B&H as a whole would be included at NUTS 2 level. The proposed theoretical models of statistical regionalization for Bosnia and Herzegovina were tested in comparison to the most significant NUTS criterion - the demographic one. When it comes to profiling statistics regions, it was tested the significance of other five elements in addition to the demographic size. These include: historic foundations, economic homogeneity, absorption capacity, political acceptability, administrative foundations and transport links.
