Summary/Abstract: “Judging by her actions, the personality gains its identity by filling itself up with something that does not form its part at all.” The famous Hungarian aesthetician’s study analyses stations of Sophie Calle’s oeuvre like - among others - The Blind or The Detachement. The focal thought of the studies is given by the art-philosophical concerns of seeing, the gaze and peeping - and, in the background of all, the dissolution of the personality’s and the Self’s integrity, and the problem of an artistic response to it.
