Summary/Abstract: The main objective of the following report is to show selected results of the research study: “Demographical changes as a special challenge for administration offices of cities and communes in Poland and Germany”, which was conducted in 2010−2011 by the Sociology Institute at the Martin Luther University in Halle (Germany) and the Statistics Institute at the University of Economics in Poznań (Poland). The study was based on interviews with mayors and heads of human resources in over 320 cities in Poland and Germany.
