Self-evaluation of the temporary workers’ commitment

Summary/Abstract: The subject of the article is employees’ commitment. It deals with the commitment of employees who work as temporary workers. The article contains theoretical and research parts. The research took place in July and August 2011. It was based on the author’s own survey. It was carried out among 197 temporary workers. The results showed that temporary workers attitudes were not typical for general employee commitment. Temporary workers evaluated their own commitment quite well. They also showed two main factors which support workers’ commitment, i.e.: stability of the employment and the period of employment in the organization. On the contrary employers evaluated temporary workers as the group with the lowest level of commitment.
