Summary/Abstract: The article describes 513 East Slavic Borrowings in Contemporary Polish included in {Uniwersalny słownik języka polskiego} (Universal Dictionary of Polish) by Stanisław Dubisz (Warsaw 2003). Russian has been one of the official languages in partitioned Poland, that’s why Russian lexical units are the greatest in number, but Ukrainian Borrowings have more meanings (the lexeme {kozak} has 9 meanings) because of the fact that they were deeply set in Polish culture. Polish – Belorussian contacts were not so often, that is why there are only six Belorussian Borrowings in Contemporary Polish. Only 13 Early Ukrainian and Belorussian Borrowings are still in use in Contemporary Polish.
