Summary/Abstract: A national minority in the Czech Republic is composed of citizens of the CR united in their common attempt to preserve and develop their autonomous existence, language and culture. The state creates certain conditions for their activities, introduces special programmes, and provides funds from the state budget for this purpose. The requirements and modes of the provision of subsidies are determined by the Government through its decree; financial management regarding the funds provided mostly in the form of subsidies is regulated by the Act governing the budgetary rules, as amended.
