Law Education Requirements

Summary/Abstract: The accent of the article is on the status and tendencies in the development of the law education. Having in mind the trend of unification of different national educational systems, the focus is on some predetermined documents accepted at a European level - the Bologna and the Sorbonne declarations and the University Magna charter. As a member of the European Union, Bulgaria is amending its internal legislation concerning university level education, including law. Questions of university autonomy have also been considered. The role of public institutions is to give common directions for the development of law education. As a conclusion we may consider that European space for higher education should be constructed with common efforts having in mind the different national cultures and traditions.
