Summary/Abstract: If until recently the issue of crime was addressed by the person "risk-bearing" with all personal and social implications, in the present, without neglecting the "risk of recidivism”, the emphasis is on it’s "strengths". Thus, current criminological theories bring into the spotlight the protective factors or inhibitors of criminal behavior which is practically the beginning premise psychosocial intervention. Therefore "desistance" is an mandatory step in the process of social inclusion, activating equally both levers of "personal capital" and those of "social capital". The new approach provides content to the Community programs aimed at reducing the risk of relapse and also criminal and post-criminal psychosocial assistance on the principle of continuity and functional institutional collaboration.
