Changes in the Socio-economic Structure of the Communities of Cracow’s Metropolitan Area

Summary/Abstract: As fundamental elements in the settlement system, and also centres of innovativeness and competitiveness, metropolises play an important role in the contemporary economy. The goal of this article is to present the social and economic development of communities of Cracow’s Metropolitan Area. In the analysis, the author employs a model of a statistical and mathematical method for the years 2004 and 2008.
