Summary/Abstract: The bibliography on appellative and locative names seems to prove their primary lexical nature. These names were incorporated into the semantic and word formation category as a result of civilizational and cultural changes of the Slavic people and of certain word formation and linguistic regularities in their creation, subsequently indicated by linguists.
