Summary/Abstract: The article presents the person of Bl. Fr. Kłopotowski Ignatius (1866-1931), who is considered to be one of the founders of the Catholic press in Poland. Fr. Kłopotowski created the first Catholic press concern in Poland. He also taught the readers of his magazines how to be well-educated and critical user of the mass media. Hence, he can be also considered as one of the pioneers of media education in Poland
