THE TACTICS OF COMMUNIST PARTY’S “CHURCH SECRETARIES” IN 1948–50 IN SOUTH BOHEMIAN REGION

Summary/Abstract: The communist state power applied a policy of gradual persecution of the catholic church in South-Bohemian region. It attacked the hierarchy and religious orders in the firs stage, but pretended to be friendly towards the laymen while trying to set them against the church leadership. It was not until later on, that also the laymen started to be persecuted.
