Summary/Abstract: Jacques Chessex broke the silence surrounding the dark pages of Switzerland’s contemporary history. The writer charges his society with a partial complicity of with the Nazi regime, through the denunciation of the murder of a trader of cattle, Arthur Bloch, on April 16th 1942. However it would be possible that this tragedy also made the screen for another crime or at least for an accident, involving his father.
