The role of small and medium States diplomacy in developing and strengthening the legal UN-system at the beginning of the XXIst Century

Summary/Abstract: At the beginning of XXIst Century, we consider that small and middle states must intensify their efforts in order to develop and to consolidate the UN legal order, inclusive by using the instruments and the mechanisms specific to the multilateral diplomacy. Their main interest, in our opinion, is to avoid the tendency of great powers to abandon such legal order, for another types of diplomacy, exclusivists and based on distorted interpretations of UN Charter or even on the abandon of the major principles of international law (illustrating the legal civilization high stage of the political international order, from the second half of XX Century).
