How to embody the body: a dilemma of somato-poetics

Summary/Abstract: The article deals with relations between the category of carnality and poetics. Following a presentation of assocations between the body creating the world and the body being created by the world, that is to say, between a somatisation of the world and an interpretation of what is carnal, with an analysis of cultural relativisation of these associations/interrelations, the author focuses on what is on the verge of expressibility. This verge has proved of importance for a concept of poetic language. Łebkowska focuses on expression of carnality in literature (including the feminist perspective) with the awareness that it is impossible to fully embed it into cultural codes.
