Summary/Abstract: Discussion of Andrzej Hejmej’s most recent book Muzyka w literaturze. Perspektywy komparatystyki interdyscyplinarnej [‘Music in Literature. The prospects of interdisciplinary comparative studies’] (Universitas, Kraków 2008). This publication, following Muzyczność dzieła literackiego [‘The musicality of literary work’] by the same author, is the scholar’s another work on issues regarding associations between music and literature. Yet, this time Mr. Hejmej puts an emphasis on the issue of literary score, understood as a powerful intertextual relation between literary and musical text. The book is composed of a theoretical section, which along with literary score deals with stereotypes in musical/literary research; interdisciplinary comparative studies; the intermediality issue; and, a practical section analysing the output of Bernard Heidsieck, Miron Białoszewski, Bogusław Schaeffer, Kornel Ujejski, Stanisław Barańczak and Michel Butor.
