ТНЕЅЕЅ ON ALBANIAN ISSUE IN МACEDONIA

Summary/Abstract: In this article the author tries to raise many questions about Albanians in Macedonia and to answer some of them. At the beginning of 20th century Macedonia was under Turkich authority. Macedonians were the most numerous population in West Macedonia. There also was a considerable number of Turks. Albanians were minority in all West Macedonian towns, but not in Debar casbah. The basic author's thesis is that а state community populated by various ethnic groups has to find out а democratic model od соeхistence. On this plan Macedonian experience is of а great value. The ex-one-party system has opened some perspectives. ln the last years of it's existence many restrictions have been introduced. Tensions between Macedonians and Albanians were rosen. The new parlamentary system has to do it's best to open new historical initiatives. But the demands of some Albanian groups are direct attack to the territorial integrity of the Republic of Macedonia - ѕауѕ the author.
