Summary/Abstract: Since the time of Darwin the concept of intelligent cause was eliminated from natural science. For scientific naturalists claimed that invoking such a cause contradicts the nature of science. Author argues, however, that the discoveries made in biology and mathematics since the half of twentieth century give a foundation for reintroduction of the concept of intelligent cause into natural science. For specified complexity, it is information, in the structure of DNA it was discovered, and in the light of the whole of our present knowledge such an effect is produced only by the action of intelligence. According to author, application of abductive reasoning to this case, reasoning that is a fully valid scientific method, enforces the conclusion that DNA is designed. He argues also that objections – philosophical, methodological and psychological in character – to such a conclusion are unsound and easily refutable.
