Summary/Abstract: Abdullah b. Muhammad al-Bosnawi, known by the pseudonym of Sharihhul-Fusus (Commentator of the Fusus). Abdi and Abdullah Bosnawi was a great mutasawwif, alim, shair and commentator of Ibn ‘Arabi’s works. Abdullah Effendi gained his primary and secondary education in Bosnia and his further education in Istanbul. There he entered a tariqat society (Erbab-i tariqat) under the famous Halwati shaikh Abdul-Majid Sivasi. Later, in Bursa, he joined Shaikh Hasan Kabaduz, who exercised a powerful influence on his spiritual advancement. Until the death of Shaikh Hasan Kabaduz (1010 AH/1601-02 CE), he lived in Bursa, later moving to Konja where he died in 1054 AH (1644 CE). Abdullah Bosnawi’s scholarly opus is thematically diverse, addressing almost every tasawwuf topic of his day.
