For several minutes he just lay there and observed the dust granules dancing in the sunbeam that was descending through the window into the cellar. After that, he shut his eyes and imagined how wonderful it would be if he were able to fly. He would only have to spread out his arms and... In his fantasies Celestine soared as highg as the ceiling and flew about up there happily.
