Summary/Abstract: Contradiction in Faith or Theological Bickering? The Discourse about a Contradiction in Faith between the „Scoala Ardeleana” and Orthodoxy is the Result of an Actually Non-Ecclesiastical Attempt Towards the Uniformization of Christian Teaching. The present perspective of the Second Vatican Council about the legimity of diversity in the expression of faith was not always embraced by the Church, even if it was one of the basic norms of the early Christian community, and also emphasized by the Florentine Council. The progressive estrangement between the Eastern and the Western Churches led, among others, after the confessional unions with Rome, to the contestation by the Orthodoxy of the Mysteries celebrated in the Greek-Catholic Churches as well as to a progressive Latinization of the Uniates, even more profound that the acts of Union demanded.
