Summary/Abstract: In this article the author reveals historical significance of the coin hoard during the rule of Louis the Pious, king of Franks (814-840). After WW I the hoard was found near Orlina, south-west of Nikšić. The location and dating of this find cause the author to make an assumption about the historical surroundings under which the material could possibly end up in Nikšić.
