Summary/Abstract: Manifestations of Intolerance and Violence against Women in the Slovak Republic. The paper presents the findings of the sociological survey on intolerance and violence against women. Its impetus was the preparation of international seminar On Intolerance and Violence against Women held in Bratislava (1994). Its aim was to collect the prebiminary data on the situation in the Slovak Republic with the help of the experts' evaluation method. The main conclusions concern such problems as the increase in violence against women, differences in violence manifestation according to the size of settlement. The collected data suggest main characteristics of forms of violence including so called hidden violence. Sociológia, 1995,Vol. 27 (No. 5-6: 399-406)
