Summary/Abstract: Throughout history the Balkan Peninsula experienced various migrations and ethnic processes, the traces of which have not been elucidated till the present day. The article is concerned with the ethnic community of Egyptians and their tragic destiny, which still continues even nowadays, i.e., their being treated merely аѕ part of other nations or ethnic communities in the Balkans.
