Summary/Abstract: The Western Balkans are viewed in Polish policy as a geographical and geopolitical unity, even though the intensity of political and economic contacts with individual countries in the region reveals a certain hierarchy in terms of their weight for Polish foreign policy. The Polish-Montenegrin relations may serve as a touchstone of the importance the Balkan questions holds for Polish foreign policy.
