Summary/Abstract: This paper examines two inter-related concepts: the identity concept and the notion of immaterial cultural patrimony. The authors present a brief introduction on the major debates on etnic/national identity and then they are focusing on the means of the concept of immaterial cultural patrimony viwed as a part (an essential part) of the ethnic/national identity.
