Summary/Abstract: From early times to modern and early postmodern era, the Romanian writers and scholars have always been prone to chanting; Doinaş is but an example. According to Doinaş, no form of religious poetry can occur without faith and communion with God, his Psalms being the result of a spiritual need originated in his detention time, with subsidiary extensions into a philosophy of knowledge undertaken organically. The 100 Psalms appear today, a decade after the author’s death, as the responsive territory of an anticipated revelation, where the empirical self, the poetic self and the aesthetic self overlap perfectly.
