Summary/Abstract: One of the important aspect of the development of the legislative power in the U.S. pertains to constitutional regulations of western states that had been created from 1791 till 1821: Vermont, Kentucky, Tennessee, Louisiana, Indiana, Mississippi, Illinois, Alabama, Maine, Missouri. The following article consists of the description of selected supreme acts. The general remarks about the process of purchasing new territories, the term of election and sessions, legislative structure, who may be elected and rights of general assemblies are hereby briefly presented. These article has been written on the basis of original texts of constitutions that presently can be found on websites.
