The Future of the BH Strip

Summary/Abstract: The strip as one of the cultural (or maybe subcultural) phenomenons of the XX century, in Bosnia and Herzegovina has no great tradition. The former strip market of ex Yugoslavia was under the domination of the publishing companies from Croatia and Serbia consequently the secondary, consumer's part was left to Bosnia and Herzegovina. Despite that, this country published the magazine "Strip-art" which winned the "Yellow Kid" prize at Italy in 1984. as the best strip magazine in the world. The stripmakers from Bosnia are searching for their identity in these wartimes. In the poor, wartime publishing some new names cleared out, among whom the special place is for the young author form Tuzla, Milenko Tunjić. His album "Strip rat-art" is a turnover in the contemporary conception of strip expressions and a solid foundation and a qualitatively better relation to the BH strip.
