Summary/Abstract: According to the Report published by World Economic Forum, the most important risks identified for 2010 are the instability in Afghanistan, the problem of Palestinian territories and relation with Israel, as well as the developments in Iraq. The background from Afghanistan reveals as the biggest present dangers the rapid and uncontrolled disintegration of the security environment inside so-called AfPak, increasing radicalization within Pashto regions from both states and extending anti-American feelings across the area. Despite the fact that international actors declare stability as the premise for Afghan rebuilding, law enforcement, combating insurgency and the fight against corruption are essentials in order to solve the problems of this country, in the context in which there is an evidence the fact that authorities from Kabul are not able to assure their own security for short or long term.
