Summary/Abstract: Art can be thought of and assumed as a gateway towards transcendence raising human consciousness out of the decay of the immanent, giving access to beauty. We encounter the artist’s creative approach all along the historic flow as a constant reality that changes only its appearance, it’s forms of exposure. Essentially, the artist and art remain always the same manifestations of the spirit touched by nostalgia of a heavenly splendor irretrievably lost. Modernity and the contemporary age are marked by a degradation of the artistic approach that tends to non-artistic and sub-cultural. Writers such as Nietzsche and Heidegger, each of them from his own conceptual position, are warning against this wide broad phenomenon of decay.
