Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to analyze the interaction between the information system and the organizational learning process. Organizational learning is analyzed as an informational process, which needs information provided by the information system. The study focuses on the problem of employment of information’s signaling and symbolic functions in the organizational learning process. The paper deals with the information systems’ characteristics such as information infrastructure and information flows taking into account that the potential capacities of the information system depends on the needs and competencies of employees who use it.
