Summary/Abstract: This work reviews the reception of Lope de Vega’s Arte nuevo in Poland, concentrating on the attempts at translation of this treatise. The relation between this subject and the reception of Lope’s theatre in Poland is also dealt with, alongside more general conclusions about the translation of a text such as the Arte nuevo.
