Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the relationship of the persian language with two closely related languages - Dari ant Tajik. On the basis of experience provided by the foreign languages departments of international radio stations it is shown how this close relationship is used by the radios while the three languages in some cases are seen as one - farsi. Some aspects of the Persian, Dari and Tajik languages are analyzed in comparison with the sociolinguistic situation of English, German and Spanish languages.
