Evaluation of V.S. Solovyov by Kazan Critics and Literary Scholars

Summary/Abstract: This paper focuses on the evaluation of V.S. Solovyov’s personality and literary heritage in the writings of Kazan critics and literary scholars. We analyzed articles dedicated to the memory of Solovyov and define the main parameters of evaluation of his works. This allowed us to characterize the attitude of regional science to the contemporary heavyweights and events in literature. As a result of the research, we revealed the foremost ideas of Kazan literary scholars and critics, who considered V.S. Solovyov mainly as a poet who, having inherited the traditions of 19th century poetry, uncovered his own philosophical views in his poems.
