The History of the Konstantin Neurath`s Edict about the jewish Property

Summary/Abstract: The essay analyses the decree of the so-called Reichsprotektor Konstantin von Neurath of June 21, 1939. The edict issued a defition of who is Jewish and announced the stripping of property of these people, thus laying the foundation for later aryanisation. Milotova contextualises the decree, explains the background of the Czech Protectorate government, which attempted to gain influence over the Jewish property, and how this decree made clear the hierarchic relationship between occupation and Protectorate administration. Furthermore, the article examines the realisation of the decree and shows how aryanisation in Protectorate were put into being. Last but not least, Neurath is put into a new light, as a plea for a new assessment of this underestimated figure.
