Summary/Abstract: The aim of this study is to build up a profile of the actions carried out by the PKK/KCK terrorist organization in 2010 and to reveal in which cities and to what degree these actions occurred. In this framework, the actions and activities carried out by the PKK terrorist organization were analyzed and it was found that the PKK terrorist organization carried out a total of 4,598 actions that were subsumed under 23 different types. In order for the results to be analyzed in a systematic way, we classified actions of 23 different types under 5 subtitles and tested whether the frequency of different types of actions realized by the PKK terrorist organization differed across cities. The results showed that the city-specific action profiles were not similar to another one; whereas acts of violence supported by the rural zone were frequently observed in some cities, acts of violence supported by the urban zone happened in others and in certain cities actions such as protest marches, press statements and propaganda frequently occurred. The fact that the action profiles of cities bear no resemblance in terms of quality/frequency require that the solutions offered for defence against terrorism be different in terms of quality/frequency.
