Summary/Abstract: Russian utopian thought is a very usual form of presentation of national imagination. The paper argues that nowadays utopian and anti-utopian writings are visual models of Russian images of the future. They influence the post-Soviet development by implementing new visions into the political and ideological atmosphere. These visions embrace various scenarios: from the ‘Dictatorship of Law’ to ‘Eurasian Empires’. Contemporary mass-culture becomes a skillful conductor of those ideas into public spiritual life. Again, like in late 80s, utopian and anti-utopian literature becomes popular and influential in Russia at the beginning of twenty-first century.
