Summary/Abstract: During the Church crisis in the middle of the 11th century, which divided the Christian world, the Patriarch Peter III of Antioch (1052–1056) found himself in the role of an intermediary between eastern and western Christiandom. This paper examines relationships between the Patriarch Peter III of Antioch with the Churches of Constantinople and Rome. It aims to provide an analysis of the theological argumentation presented in his epistles to prominent Eastern and Western bishops.
