Summary/Abstract: The article deals with some educational approaches and major guidelines used in teaching physics to students of the Civil Engineering faculty. Consideration of these approaches is necessitated by the latest transition of the Russian higher education to the two-tier system. The proposed approaches are facilitative in elevation of students’ motivation due to the increase of intersubject communications and implementations of the basic fragments of building physics (architectural acoustics, building climatology and light engineering) into the teaching process.
