The National Salvation Front as a mass social and political movement in Russia in 1992–1993

Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with the problem of the formation of united opposition in Russian Federation in 1992–1993, analyzes the structure and membership of the mass social and political movement called “National Salvation Front”, and considers its congresses. The participation of members and followers of the National Salvation Front in Russian political process in the early 1990s is demonstrated, and the role of the National Salvation Front in the 1993 Russian constitutional crisis is analyzed.
