The preconditions of the White Army formation in the Russia’s North-West (March – September 1918)

Summary/Abstract: The article examines the preconditions of the White Army formation in the Russia’s North-West. Author analyzes the reasons that induced Germany to finance one of the Russian antibolshevik armies in spite of the Soviet-German treaties.It is shown how the circumstances were changing from March to September 1918 and finally became favorable to the formation of an antibolshevik army in Pskov.
