Summary/Abstract: Amber in tenor of its signification seems characteristic to the Latvians and Lithuanians and to the vanished Balts such as Prussians. It seems that amber have been relating the Baltic Sea littoral or Amberland with distant countries. At the same time scholars researching prehistory of Prussians, Latvians and Lithuanians associating Amberland with particular geographical region, in which amber is perceptible as the pride of each country. It is enough oddly, however, that Amberland or rather Amberlands haven’t been consistency reached as a distinct and substantial phenomenon, especially it clear from the Lithuanian and Latvian history. Particular investigations of amber role in prehistory, history and history of culture only starts, therefore in this range is too much mythologized and romantic attitude. At the same time it should be emphasised importance of the Amber Trade and Amber Routes to the Baltic people in the prehistory.
