Electronic language environment eLang: the design and application in Novosibirsk State Technical University

Summary/Abstract: This article is devoted to the issues of application of informational and communicative technologies in foreign language teaching. These issues are in the focus of the paper through the discussion of the designing of the electronic language environment eLang (elang.nstu.ru) in Novosibirsk State Technical University (Novosibirsk, Russia). The author describes the conditions of elaborating of this educational environment in the university. The project of electronic language environment eLang includes several stages: designing the conception of a new program language environment, forming the technical task for the programmers, elaborating the massive of educational materials and filling the educational language courses with the materials, testing and applying the electronic language environment into the university educational system.
