About some possibilities to study cultural dynamics within the framework of cultural linguistics

Summary/Abstract: The article analyzes the linguoculturological approach (initially developed by E.A.Pokrovskaya) to the language of fiction, which is based on the juxtaposition of two cultural paradigms - "classical" and "nonclassical". While the classical paradigm takes as a premise such concepts as order, hierarchy, integrity and perceptibility of the world, the underlying ideas which are inherent in the nonclassical paradigm are fragmentarity, chaos, anarchy as well as tendency to destroy hierarchy. These concepts are universal, thus transcultural. Manifestations of the two paradigms can be observed in various arts.
