Summary/Abstract: Created in 1917 as the main distinguishing feature of the then Military Cemetery, the "Dying Lion" sculpture suffered damage on a number of occasions during the turbulent times of the twentieth century, and was also badly damaged during the 1992-1995 war. The text outlines the activities undertaken to repair, reconstruct and restore the sculpture as the first in a series of culture and education projects implemented as a part of the European Bridge, international cooperation -Avignon, Ljubljana, Sarajevo.
