Summary/Abstract: The social economy is that mode of organization and functioning of an economy that produces goods and services for all those interested in the values of social economy, to raise living standards and economic development activities that create new jobs. The social economy is born from a private initiative by giving them those who create and maintain a high degree of autonomy, economic freedom and responsibility involving a significant risk that profit is distributed among the founding members, but reinvested in the social economy, and earnings are not constant and reliable. The social economy can be seen as a continuation of the occupation policy that seeks to offer jobs to a population in distress, marginalized and socially excluded.
