Summary/Abstract: At the beginning the Author notes that university programs covering various fields ranging from mathematics and natural sciences, through the polytechnic, and ending on the faculties of humanities, we see two disturbing trends: one, the ousting of the philosophy of university education programs, and the second is the integration of philosophy to university education, but also reducing it to learn the history of philosophy. The first is dangerous because it kills the essence of university education, which should be surface mounted on a philosophy that provides a broad understanding of the world and man, the other kills the same philosophy, because it reduces philosophy to the history of ideas (thoughts) of men. Meanwhile - as mathematics education can not be reduced to learning the history of mathematics and physics to the history of physics - yes, and philosophy can not be reduced to learning only as the history of philosophy. Philosophy is destined to be primarily based on culture, which are branches of science, ethics, art and technology, and religion. University education is associated with the whole culture of the human person. For this reason, only a philosophy that provides understanding of the world, man and human action - in the fullest possible way - can be the foundation of university education. It is not every philosophy, but only one that teaches how to read the real world and - in a special way - how to read a man and discover the truth about his nature. Only a realistic philosophy can be a base for the culture and humanistic education.
